In 2013, AkzoNobel launched its 2020 sustainability strategy under the Planet Possible banner. Our view on sustainability and on the future is based on optimism. Indeed the world faces big challenges and radical changes are needed, but the good news is that these changes are possible.

Sustainability and innovation are a big part of this and so AkzoNobel is continuously developing products and solutions that can contribute to energy efficient buildings, efficient and sustainable transportation and re-use of building materials and consumer products. We are committed to making our products more sustainable. As well as driving our own success, putting sustainability and Innovation at the heart of everything we do means that our customers and employees – not to mention the planet – will also benefit. . It’s all about creating more value from fewer resources and opening up infinite possibilities in a finite world.

“Having the ability to measure our products’ social impacts will enable us to better understand how our operations are impacting the lives of the people we work with. Ultimately this process will enable us to identify areas that require attention and drive further improvements.”
